In the International Business degree programme not only is the content international, you will also be studying with students from all over the world and working together in intercultural teams. An investigation of economies – in both their practices and cultures – around the world and across the ages from ancient times to the modern era. You learn how to analyse different business environments in advanced economies, and you will also be exposed to emerging markets.
Additional topics include the theory of comparative advantage, the causes and consequences of imbalances in the balance of payments or exchange rates, and the evolution of the international monetary system. In the third and fourth year you will specialise in your particular degree pathway and all of your modules will be within your chosen field of study.
Student Enterprise thrives on campus with a range of extra-curricular activities including business planning competitions, events, and support services for students with real business ideas. The Bachelor’s degree programme in International Business prepares you for a management position in an international environment.
For international applicants, the Degree Programme in International Business arranges entrance exams in cooperation with the FINNIPS network They are offered in about 15 countries in the first two weeks of April 2017. You may enjoy joining our Business Society which arranges an event calendar, annual ball and career presentations from institutions such as the Government Economic Service, Scottish Executive, Bank of England etc.
RMIT’s international business programs give you the skills to analyse and interpret the complex operations of global organisations, international trade and business relationships. For Finnish nationals, both a semester of study abroad and a practical training placement abroad are required parts of the degree Programme.
