Planning for the year ahead is never an easy task. Without it, no strategy will be realized, which is why it’s crazy that so many companies create a business plan and then file it away in a binder on a dusty shelf. Nike teamed up with Michael Jordan to create marketing giant. Finally, distributing a pre-recorded message makes it possible to contact hundreds and thousands of people with just a fraction of the time it would take to make personal calls.
Companies also create brands and these brands have an effect on people’s purchasing habits. When we skip over strategy and start executing based upon abstract marketing theory, we’re shooting in the dark hoping we hit something, but we rarely hit the thing we want to hit.
This has also allowed the company to maintain an above average price for their products compared with their competitors with the knowledge that consumers would pay that higher price. These brands can mean several aspects of the company combined to form a perception in the consumer’s mind such as products, services, information and experiences.
Oftentimes salespeople have a broader focus, preferring to spend their days with appointments and meetings – activities that build relationships – rather than sitting behind a desk doing what a marketing department does best. Because it has never been more apparent that the relationship between sales and marketing is still just as misunderstood as ever, especially with advances in marketing technology.
Maslow’s Marketing Filter
One of the basics of all marketing and advertising training is a teaching of “Maslow’s needs pyramid”. Provide as much structure as possible within each marketing plan. Split each marketing method out in to its own MLM marketing plan. They can sit around and discuss all the latest marketing tactics and even try to put them in place, but in the end, it’s all for naught if they don’t develop a solid strategy and execution steps to make it work for their business.
Marketing has relied on four marketing skills and tools and they are the sales force, advertising, sales promotion and marketing research, they must also use brand building, customer relations, telemarketing and others to make their product selling become reality.
Now, none of what I have said above gives companies a free license to do whatever they want, especially when it comes to my one, very absolute exception: Marketing to children and those who cannot be held accountable for their actions. With so much information available about companies and brands, it is truly the Age Of The Consumer and will be for a very long time.
Marketing With A Telephone
A. Marketing merely reflects the needs and wants of customers. The problem, however, is that many companies, consultants, and marketers do a lot of “theory” and talking, without taking it beyond that. Coach has built a strong brand name for themselves by being unique in their style and service and this is primarily the reason that customers create a high demand for their products.
This has proved to be a very successful tactic for companies in marketing. In the hierarchy of the business food chain, sales and marketing should not be seen as rivals or equals, but counterparts. Service channels are needed to effect transactions with the consumers and these could be banks for credit card purchases and transportation companies such as UPS to deliver the products to homes and businesses.
On the sales side, client retention refers more to the salesperson’s efforts to use the client relationship to continually check in with the client, attempt to engage them in further discussions about additional products or services they may be interested in, and seek referrals to the client’s friends and family members.
MLM Marketing Plan
No doubt if you are trying to progress on your journey to MLM success and you have been doing some training and some research then you will have discovered the importance of having a good MLM marketing plan in place. Back in October 2015 we shared an article called “5 Ways Marketing Departments Help Salespeople Catch Butterflies.” Recently a tenfold article was shared with us, titled “What is the Meaning of Sales & Marketing and Their Advantages?” and, I have to say, it does a pretty awesome job of breaking down the differences, responsibilities, and links between sales and marketing roles.
It is not a marketing employee’s responsibility to follow up with a salesperson’s existing customer once the lead has been handed off, nor is it their responsibility to convert a lead to a sale, “close the deal,” or make sure the client remains a client for many years.
Breaking Down Sales And Marketing
Throughout history, chocolate has been marketed differently to different consumer types. Companies also take advantage of world events or changes in the economy to come out with new products. Unfortunately, most people settle on mostly one phone-based marketing activity – cold calling. I’d like to present to you a way to use Maslow’s needs pyramid so that you can get inside the consumer’s mind and develop an understanding of what’s truly motivating them as they consider purchasing your product or service.
Bottom line to this long winded explanation is this: making THE RIGHT TYPE OF CALL THE RIGHT WAY in conjunction with modern technology and other marketing tools can make a huge difference in your business. We as people like consistency and if a marketer provides consistent service in addition to great products and price then we will keep on going back for years.
This is all part of what a consumer’s expectations on a product are, if these perceived expectations are met time after time then they become a loyal customer to that particular company.
