Marketing
Throughout history, chocolate has been marketed differently to different consumer types. A good example would be Ben’s Chili Bowl located in Washington DC. It is an eatery that has been in business for decades and the fact that it had kept so many loyal customers is because they have offered consistent service and great food over the years and people who used to go there to eat as kids still go there as adults.

On the marketing side, however, retention refers to maintaining a higher level of consistent engagement (through targeted marketing based on buying preferences, interests and history) so that the customer relationship doesn’t end at the initial purchase.

One truly cannot exist without the other, but their skill sets are not the same – especially today, where advances in technology require the modern marketer to have a very specific, honed, and competitive set of skills that most sales people simply do not need to have.

Most companies do a lot of research before releasing an advertisement in getting a feel of what the consumers really desire. Sales departments rely on marketing; marketing departments and strategies exist to feed sales (notice I didn’t say “make” sales). Without an in-house marketing team that is skilled and dedicated to marketing planning and execution, it is understandably difficult.

Is Target Marketing Ethical?

A. Marketing merely reflects the needs and wants of customers. After seeing so many television commercials and advertisements both on the Internet and on newspapers I have concluded that some companies construct their ads to create a need in the consumer’s mind even if originally they were not interested in the product.

Back in October 2015 we shared an article called “5 Ways Marketing Departments Help Salespeople Catch Butterflies.” Recently a tenfold article was shared with us, titled “What is the Meaning of Sales & Marketing and Their Advantages?” and, I have to say, it does a pretty awesome job of breaking down the differences, responsibilities, and links between sales and marketing roles.

The marketing department creates awareness, builds engagement by creating information that will invite audience members to take action, and targets and tracks engagement by motivating audience members to provide contact information or initiate a free trial or consultation (converting them from a cold prospect to a known lead or potential buyer).

No doubt if you are trying to progress on your journey to MLM success and you have been doing some training and some research then you will have discovered the importance of having a good MLM marketing plan in place. Companies also take advantage of world events or changes in the economy to come out with new products. Unfortunately, most people settle on mostly one phone-based marketing activity – cold calling. I’d like to present to you a way to use Maslow’s needs pyramid so that you can get inside the consumer’s mind and develop an understanding of what’s truly motivating them as they consider purchasing your product or service.

No doubt if you are trying to progress on your journey to MLM success and you have been doing some training and some research then you will have discovered the importance of having a good MLM marketing plan in place. Companies strive to retain their customer base by delivering value and satisfaction from their products and this is formulated in consumers’ minds as a combination of service, quality and price. This is vital to being able to plan future actions and required time allocations as well as giving you the opportunity to be able to regularly track your progress against your plan.

You wouldn’t engage in marketing if you had nothing to sell, and your sales strategy would be much less informed and successful if not for your marketing efforts. Marketing theory is the science of marketing. A common mistake made by older, more established businesses is to assume that salespeople are skilled at marketing and that marketing people are skilled at making sales.

Planning for the year ahead is never an easy task. Marketing has relied on four marketing skills and tools and they are the sales force, advertising, sales promotion and marketing research, they must also use brand building, customer relations, telemarketing and others to make their product selling become reality.

Regarding the second argument ‘Marketing shapes consumer needs and wants.’ I have to also agree with this statement. There are various criteria that companies use to segment their products and some of them are geographic, demographic, psycho graphic and behavioral.

Provide as much structure as possible within each marketing plan. Split each marketing method out in to its own MLM marketing plan. They can sit around and discuss all the latest marketing tactics and even try to put them in place, but in the end, it’s all for naught if they don’t develop a solid strategy and execution steps to make it work for their business.

Maslow’s Marketing Filter

Marketing to specific groups of consumers, or target marketing, is one of the most important concepts in marketing. On the sales side, client retention refers more to the salesperson’s efforts to use the client relationship to continually check in with the client, attempt to engage them in further discussions about additional products or services they may be interested in, and seek referrals to the client’s friends and family members.

Marketing channels are also used by companies to reach their consumers. As a result, decisions are often made without the consultation of the marketing strategy, and that … Read More
