One of the basics of all marketing and advertising training is a teaching of “Maslow’s needs pyramid”. Companies strive to retain their customer base by delivering value and satisfaction from their products and this is formulated in consumers’ minds as a combination of service, quality and price. This is vital to being able to plan future actions and required time allocations as well as giving you the opportunity to be able to regularly track your progress against your plan.

It is not a marketing employee’s responsibility to follow up with a salesperson’s existing customer once the lead has been handed off, nor is it their responsibility to convert a lead to a sale, “close the deal,” or make sure the client remains a client for many years.

These companies also make their companies seem fun and sometimes quirky to attract children to other products they may offer. This is all part of what a consumer’s expectations on a product are, if these perceived expectations are met time after time then they become a loyal customer to that particular company.

This plan is going to be the key to your time management as well as a guide to keep you on track with all of your individual plans and actions. It is so important to partner with a company that can do more than just talking about marketing theory. The word free is usually a powerful catalyst that springs the consumer into buying that particular product or idea even though he or she might not need it. I think other terms also kind of bait people into buying things they don’t need.

Many consumers who have stayed loyal to the same brand, dealership, or salon for years will say that they appreciate the personal attention they receive there. Unless time is dedicated to each and every week to working a marketing strategy, forward movement in business is highly unlikely.

You wouldn’t engage in marketing if you had nothing to sell, and your sales strategy would be much less informed and successful if not for your marketing efforts. Marketing theory is the science of marketing. A common mistake made by older, more established businesses is to assume that salespeople are skilled at marketing and that marketing people are skilled at making sales.

A good example would be Ben’s Chili Bowl located in Washington DC. It is an eatery that has been in business for decades and the fact that it had kept so many loyal customers is because they have offered consistent service and great food over the years and people who used to go there to eat as kids still go there as adults.

A. Marketing merely reflects the needs and wants of customers. Most companies do a lot of research before releasing an advertisement in getting a feel of what the consumers really desire. Sales departments rely on marketing; marketing departments and strategies exist to feed sales (notice I didn’t say “make” sales). Without an in-house marketing team that is skilled and dedicated to marketing planning and execution, it is understandably difficult.

On the marketing side, however, retention refers to maintaining a higher level of consistent engagement (through targeted marketing based on buying preferences, interests and history) so that the customer relationship doesn’t end at the initial purchase.

Regarding the second argument ‘Marketing shapes consumer needs and wants.’ I have to also agree with this statement. There are various criteria that companies use to segment their products and some of them are geographic, demographic, psycho graphic and behavioral.

Marketing to specific groups of consumers, or target marketing, is one of the most important concepts in marketing. Instead of bothering strangers, connect with your existing customers or people who have indicated interest in your services or products. Especially in the early days it’s easy to underestimate the time required for certain actions or miss some important actions all together.

All marketing and marketing communications should flow from this positioning, and it should be fully understood and embraced by all employees, sales reps, partners and management. While trying to conserve capital, many of these companies will attempt to combine their sales and marketing departments, essentially tasking their employees with two job descriptions, and that’s usually a bad move.

No doubt if you are trying to progress on your journey to MLM success and you have been doing some training and some research then you will have discovered the importance of having a good MLM marketing plan in place. However, as an adult parent, I must assume some of the responsibility for buying products that are marketed to children. Without a sound strategy, companies struggle to keep up with their competition, they miss opportunities that would lead to better results, and they win fewer customers.

Bottom line to this long winded explanation is this: making THE RIGHT TYPE OF CALL THE RIGHT WAY in conjunction with modern technology and other marketing tools can make a huge difference in your business. We as people like consistency and if a marketer provides consistent service in addition to great products and price then we will keep on going back for years.
The problem, however, is that many companies, consultants, and marketers do a lot of “theory” and talking, without taking it beyond that. Provide as much structure as possible within each marketing plan.
