The forces of globalisation have brought people, firms and markets across the world closer together than ever before. There are again two compulsory modules, one of which looks at the economics of globalisation, investigating topics such as international investment and trade. Excellent knowledge of international issues thanks to the participation in prestigious studies will open many doors in the business world.
After gaining valuable work experience, students will also be well prepared to enter one of the many graduate programs in international business and possibly go on to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level. During this module you will use a strategic management viewpoint to examine international business with an integrative framework.
The course will equip you with the understanding of accounting, finance, culture, marketing, logistics and operations within an international business and how these impact the real-world. You will also have the opportunity to learn from award-winning faculty with extensive expertise in international business and to interact with industry professionals to maximize your learning experience.
The programme team includes several researchers who publish regularly while also working with local and national businesses and international research groups on cutting edge projects. If you have any questions, problems, if you need help in any business that is related to the programme – and is not a course unit issue, which is managed by the appropriate Department – she is the person who you can be sure will help you.
Managers in global firms need to know how to identify and deal with the challenges, and to ensure that the firm as well as its complete supply chain acts responsibly and in accordance with high international standards. The aims of the module are to examine the laws regulating the conduct of business and business organisations.
